A visit to The 1785 Inn in the
Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire is an experience you'll long
remember. From the charm and beauty of its original colonial
construction to the cheerful, welcoming atmosphere of its Victorian
lounge, you'll enjoy the tradition of friendly Yankee hospitality in a
classic New England country
inn.
The 1785 Inn is a wonderfully relaxing place to vacation at any time of year. For overnight guests there are 17 cheerful, individually-decorated rooms, two guest living rooms with original working fireplaces, a casual lounge for unwinding at day's end, and over six acres of beautiful grounds and gardens to explore.
The dining room at the 1785 Inn
is renowned for the outstanding quality of its cuisine and service.
Candlelight casts a romantic glow throughout the evening, inviting you
to take your time and enjoy the pleasures of your meal.
Open nightly to the public, the Inn has truly earned the right
to be considered one of the "best places" to have dinner in
the region. Particularly popular is our New year's Eve 7 course gourmet
dinner,
served by reservation only. This is a true New England Bounty to behold. The 1785 Inn not only received the highest possible ranking from Billy Costa's "TV Diner" show on the NECN (New England Cable Network) television network, the highly coveted and rarely given "Platinum Plate Award," but on the most recent Show, Costa did a year end review for 2006 (based on staff and viewer surveys) and designated The 1785 Inn as one of the "Best of the Best" for 2006. The 1785 Inn is one of only 8 restaurants from throughout New England to receive this honor and is the only restaurant from New Hampshire or Vermont to receive such prominence. The wine list has been called "One of the finest in the world" by Wine Spectator magazine, an honor hard to uphold!
We invite you to come enjoy the 1785 Inn for a romantic getaway, the family's vacation, or just for the pleasures of a memorable dinner. You'll always find a friendly welcome -- one aspect of the Inn that hasn't changed at all in its 200 years of hospitality!
