The Pier restaurant, an area favorite for many years, is operated by local chef Bob Nicol and his wife Renee. The Nicol's, who operated the restaurant for many years returned in 2009. The restaurant has a gorgeous view of Table Rock Lake and the surrounding Ozark mountains. Adjacent to the restaurant is the Pier Lounge, a great spot for appetizers and cocktails. The Pier is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 5 until 9 P.M. during the tourist season and the hours reduce in the winter months. The Nicol's also operate the Garden Terrace restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch and banquets. The Garden Terrace is in the lower level of the same building as the Pier. The Pier offers a varied menu Chef Nicol describes as Continental Cuisine. His hand cut, Char-broiled filets are served with a delicious bernaise sauce made fresh daily. fresh fish is offered as well as several creative shrimp dishes and of course, Chef Bob has been famous in the area for many years for his delicious, slow roasted Prime Rib. A favorite local magazine named "417" voted Nicol's the best restaurant in Southwest Missouri in 2008 and have recently chosen their fresh Halibut and Escargot as editor's choice for best entree and appetizer in the area. The Pier also offers some appetizers and sandwiches for the more casual diners.
