Opened in 1897, the Inn was placed on both the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places on its 100th anniversary in 1997. The landmark Inn has just enjoyed a complete restoration of its 13 guest rooms, all decorated differently, in a late 1800s decor. Rooms feature king, queen and twin beds. All rooms have private baths and color/cable TV.

The Inn is located in the heart of downtown Clayton, separated from the St. Lawrence River by a beautiful public park. The park is the center of many activities, including the village's popular summer band concert series every Wednesday evening from late June through early September.

Featured 32 times since 2006 on the Travel Channel's popular Taste of America series, it was in this Inn's very popular dining room that famous Thousand Island Salad Dressing was first served to the dining public back in the early days of the last century. The Inn now bottles their 'Original' dressing for resale. It is available at the Inn throughout their operating season and over the Internet all year. Be sure to visit their website by clicking on the link below if your interested in discovering the dressing's history and ordering some!

The dining room serves dinner daily throughout their season, which extends from May 15th through September 13th. Dinner hour features 12 daily Early Bird specials, ranging in price from $15.95 to $19.95, and nightly gourmet specials in addition to the extensive regular evening menu.

Nightly dinner entrees feature Roast Prime Rib and broiled steaks, sauteed and fried veal and poultry, roast duckling, an array of broiled and fried seafoods, authentic Italian entrees and especially popular, local fresh water fish including yellow perch and walleye.

Complimentary Continental Breakfasts are offered the Inn's rooming guests and full breakfasts are served to the public on Sunday mornings.

Perhaps most important, in addition to its fine food, the Inn is widely known and respected for the hospitality of its accommodating staff.
